Actuel Life Hotel

This was my fourth visit to Istanbul with my family, and we stayed at Actual Life Hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and responded to any request at any time. They were truly kind and accommodating. However, there were some issues that affected our experience. The hotel itself is very small, as are the rooms, which might not suit those looking for a more spacious and comfortable stay. Additionally, there was no open buffet for breakfast, contrary to what we were told. I booked the hotel through Ideal company in Jordan, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I was informed that the hotel was large, the rooms were spacious, and there was an open breakfast buffet. The representative insisted on this information, but the reality was completely different.

I stayed here for 8 nights in May 2025. The staff were very friendly. I asked to move to a bigger room and the manger was very helpful in my request. The hotel is very clean and in a great location. The breakfast is served from 8 to 10am. It's a basic Turkish breakfast, but enough to set you up for the day. My room was cleaned daily and topped up with water and hot drinks. There is a fridge in the room. I would recommend this hotel and will be staying again. A BIG thanks to Jamal who works on reception. He was very friendly and always helped when I had questions. Disappointing Experience Despite High Expectations I recently stayed at this hotel with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of what was promised during booking. We had specifically reserved the best available room, which was supposed to include breakfast. However, upon check-in, we were given a standard room instead. Although we were confused, we were too tired to argue and decided to let it go, since the room was at least reasonably comfortable. The next morning, we planned to have breakfast before checking out. Not knowing where the dining area was, we politely asked the receptionist, who told us it was downstairs. But when we got there, the area was completely empty and silent. We approached the only staff member we saw and asked her nicely where breakfast was served. Her response was shocking — she simply said, “There’s no breakfast,” and walked away, rather rudely. We went back to the receptionist for clarification, and instead of giving us a proper explanation, he asked whether we had booked two weeks ago — claiming that bookings made more recently no longer include breakfast. When we told him we had booked over a month ago, he looked unsure and gave no further response or solution. In the end, we had to go out and find food elsewhere, which was not easy given the hotel’s remote location and lack of nearby public transportation or easy access to taxis. To make matters worse, later that night while we were trying to clean up, the water stopped running completely 🥲 I’ve honestly never stayed at a hotel where the water just goes out like that — it was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Overall, while the room itself was passable, the poor communication, lack of professionalism from staff, and basic service failures made this a very disappointing stay. For the price and promises made, we expected a much higher standard.
