The hotel is pleasant, small, and intimate. There is one pool and a bar. On the beach, there are sunbeds with mattresses, and you can always find a spot. The rooms are also quite small but clean. The drinks at the bar are of poor quality, everything comes from a dispenser, and you can taste that it’s not a good-quality product. Only the beer and iced coffee are decent. The food is varied and generally good. There’s a lot of fruit with every meal and good ice cream. On the downside, the staff is indeed not very flexible and can be unpleasant at times. My wife can’t eat cheese and asked for a pizza without cheese, but they refused. This never happened in other hotels—we’ve always been able to get it with a smile, and in some places, they even brought it to us when it was ready. This is service at a 4-star level. There is room for improvement.

We arrived at Adele Beach Hotel around 2:30 AM on 25 May 2025, only to be told that no room was available and that check-in wasn’t expected until later that day — despite our travel documents clearly indicating we should have a room ready for late arrival. We had just driven from the Netherlands to Düsseldorf, caught a night flight to Crete, rented a car, and drove an hour to the hotel — so this was a huge disappointment. After about 30 minutes of waiting in the lobby, we were placed in a temporary room to rest. In the morning, we moved to the room we would use for the remainder of our stay. The young male receptionist who first greeted us did his best and handled the situation as professionally as he could. I do not blame him — this was clearly a system error, not his fault. However, during our stay, the overall attitude of some reception staff (especially male staff) was noticeably cold and unfriendly. When I politely asked for a bottle of water, I was met with a stern “It’s not free,” without any smile or alternative offered. Such interactions made us feel unwelcome. Housekeeping also seemed inflexible — when we asked them to come back in 10 minutes as we were still getting ready, they flatly refused. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was diverse and tasty. But the all-inclusive drinks (except wine and beer) were of poor quality and seemed hastily prepared. In summary: while the facilities are decent, the lack of warmth in staff behavior and initial check-in issue negatively impacted our experience. I cannot recommend this hotel unless management improves guest communication and service quality.
