Lovely hotel with nice large and clean rooms. Great city centre location and friendly, courteous staff. The only downside is tie bar shutting at 22.00, but this seems to be common with all hotels I stayed at in Australia.
We spent 8 nights at this hotel in June, 2025. We had a suite on the 12th floor and found it very comfortable and spacious. It was also super convenient and economical as it had a kitchenette and washer/dryer-we could make breakfast and have snacks in our room and wash clothes before moving on to our next destination. Very clean & beautiful historic building, plus good service from front desk and house-keeping. Good location-a few blocks from the Botanic Gardens and easy walking distance to all areas along the river, shopping, restaurants...
poor service, slow check in and unfriendly staff, that made me regretting staying here even before check in ! there’s limited parking spaces and no proper place for luggage drop off! I was denied checking in on behalf of my husband despite having email and photo id as confirmation while hubby was busy looking for a spot to park the car and finding his way to drop off our luggage . the manager apologised eventually and provided us with spot to park our car which we really appreciate. the room was spacious and clean .
