Adler Damüls Gasthof Hotel

We spent a week in this hotel in winter 2024 and here is my review : Location : this hotel is located in the village of Kirchdorf, very charming and along a street. There is one main building on one side of the street and two other buildings on the other side (the Steinadler : with very nice luxury suites, a lounge bar, the spa, the pool & sauna. And the Gasthaus : with studios apartments). Hotel : the interior of the main building is really charming, especially the main floor with lobby and restaurant, all wooden decoration. All is a bit "vintage" style but typical of the Alps ! Steinadler is all luxury and rooms are very nice ! The Spa is incredible, pool is perfect, the Spa, sauna and hammam are amazing ! You will spend great time at the spa ! The Gasthaus has old style studios that deserve a bit of refreshment and should be a bit refurbished (the decoration and equipment looks to be 30 years old). The studios are not well arranged (for example, main bedroom has no windows, if you want to go to bathroom, you need to cross the bedroom, etc. Also, beds and pillows were not very comfortable). But for a family, it is OK, and the price is fair. Connexion : There is a corridor under the street from the main building to the Steinadler (very convenient when you are in swimsuit or when you go to dinner) but there is no connexion between the Gasthaus and the main building or Steinadler. This means that everytime you want to go to dinner, breakfast or to the spa, you need to cross the street, put your jacket, I have seen people crossing the street in swimsuit...not very convenient. Also, after a warm sauna, you do not want to go in the "cold" temperature in swimsuit. Strong advice : put a corridor from Gasthaus to Steinadler or to main building. Ski in : yes, if you are a good skier. The red slope coming back to the hotel is a bit tricky for beginners or young children. If you miss your turn, you may fall of the cliff and finish on the street that is 10m below. Ski out : yes, you just need to take the stairs to connect with the red slope, but then you need to take your skis off to cross the parking to the Uga lift. As a result : we always took the bus in and out. Food : the breakfast is very good, you will find more than everything. The dinner is just incredible ! This is really one of the best thing of this hotel : the food !! Half board is really convenient ! We ate a bit too much as all was delicious :-p Service : the service is very friendly, though an improvement could be made on speaking english a bit more. Fortunately, our waiter Viktor spoke perfect english. He was a real gentleman and his service was perfect ! Big thanks to him ! Parking : there is a parking along the hotel but there is no protection barrier or wall, so pay attention to brake when you park, otherwise, you will fall of the cliff and finish 30m below... That could be improved because it is really dangerous. Ski room : located in the hotel and the boots are heated during the night ! Very good ! Damuls-Mellau Ski Area : Very nice ! We loved it ! We fell in love with the area of Mellau and all the area of top of Uga lift, Hasenbuhel, etc. Our only comment would be that there are many steep cliffs with lack of protection nets. So be very careful with young skiers or beginners. (We did not go to Faschina). Bus service : this is very convenient and though it was free, it was not always easy to understand the bus schedules and lines. We always had to ask the driver where he was going. All in all, we spent a wonderful week at this hotel and we will definitely come back ! Thank you Gasthof Adler !

What a fantastic holiday we had in this wonderful hotel ! Very friendly staff! Very spacious family suite with a very modern and warm interior. Perfect view from our bedroom and terras over the mountains in Damüls. Breakfast and dinner are excellent! You can choose every morning between 3 menus for your supper (meat, fish or veggie). Kids can choose between different child menus (spaghetti, nuggets+fries, fishsticks, chicken, ...). Drinks are not included. There are different ski slopes in the area and one is situated by a 5 minute walk. You can also start your ski adventure behind the hotel and ski all the way to the skislope parking area. After your ski adventure you can enjoy in the outdoor heated pool or relax in the relaxation room with sauna, infrared, hammam, ... Highly recommended !

Very nice place. Food is excellent and the people too. Nice spa. Perfectly located with good parking possibility. Rooms are big.
