Ae Lana Chiang Mai Hotel

Mosquitos are unavoidable in Chiang Mai, but in the rooms it was excessive. A plug-in repellant device from the staff fixed that problem. Location great for proximity to highway and mall, but no tuk tuks or easily walkable services nearby. No laundry on site. 6 star staff! They accommodated my family with young children, as well as my coworkers, exceptionally!

Our stay there was a little disappointing. We booked a 4-star hotel to be sure it is clean. Our room was not clean (lots of hair, a dirty tissue, a pill on the floor). I mentioned that and ask about a wet cleaning of the floor because we had a crawling baby. The staff cleaned immediately but it was not clean. So we went to the reception again and asked again for a wet cleaning. After that the cleaning level was okay. But we had insect's in our room because window was open when we arrived (maybe since hours). Nevertheless the interior of the room is good and stylish and the pool area is nice. Gym room was closed for maintenance. **If you looking for breakfast I would recommend 'cafe jame' which is 3 min to walk from the hotel! It opens 8:00 am and serves really good food and coffee.**

I'm not a big fan of "boutique" hotels. But you can give this one a try whilst it's still new. Staff are all very friendly. There is a small gym and outdoor pool. Cannot fault the service, but the location is a big isolated. It's located in a small road with no lights, so it did not feel entirely safe when returning to the hotel at night. There is a very big, very new shopping centre - Central Festival - within a 7 min car ride (not really walking distance though). Try this hotel if you want a base on the east of the river to explore.
