Aegean Melathron Thalasso Spa Hotel

5 star hotel on one of the most beautiful beaches around. Fantastic service reasonable prices and little outdated rooms. Divided in two pieces over and under main road. Offer free transfers with golf cars to and from the beach. Food is very good but was better earlier. There is only half board option. Several swimming pools, spa center etc. The main advantage is the beach with beautiful white sand and turquoise water. Sun beds with umbrellas are not free for the guests which is big minus for that type of hotel. Big problem also is several discotheque 🕺 nearby playing loud music all night till 5am. So be prepared to close all windows tightly. Hygiene is on high level and the staff is very serviceable and friendly. It is a very very good hotel that needs a little upgrade to return to the old glory.

Based on the hotel room, this is absolutely NOT a 5 star resort. The rest of the amenities of the hotel are old fashioned but lovely and pleasant, the breakfast is particularly good and has a good verity. The price of coffee and soft drinks are ridiculously high. Also- I would expect a hotel that cost 360€ per night to at least provide with free beach beds, but these ones were 15€ per day. Seriously? The staff was nice and provided good service with a smile.

We were truly impressed with this hotel during our first stay, which made us excited to return this year. Unfortunately, our experience this time was a complete disaster. My husband was bitten by bedbugs—over 90 bites all over his body! This is absolutely unacceptable, especially for a hotel that claims to be 5 stars. On top of that, we had trouble getting our room even though we had a reservation. The staff was unhelpful and acted like it wasn’t their problem. The rooms were not clean, and it was obvious that hygiene and maintenance are being neglected. What used to be our favorite summer destination has now become a place we’ll never visit again. The only good thing about our stay was the beautiful sandy beach, which is truly stunning. But sadly, that alone is not enough to make up for everything else. This hotel no longer deserves its 5-star rating. Extremely disappointing and not worth the money or stress.
