Aegli Arachova

Such a beautiful place to stay, made better by the generous and helpful staff. We visited in May, a slow season in Arachova, and one of the owners was very helpful in getting is around when finding a taxi was difficult. On a sidenote, it was exciting to learn that the owners of the hotel are a family of renowned Greek champion skiers, and there are many awards and Olympic torches on display in the lobby.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel in Arachova. It’s conveniently located, just a 5-minute drive from the center. Upon arrival parking was literally next to the front door! As a family of three, we booked room 304, which exceeded our expectations. The king-size bed was very great but I have slept in more comfortable beds for sure. The room was far more spacious than it appeared in the pictures. The walk in closet was also spacious and convenient. The bathroom was huge, clean and plenty of room to leave your toiletries, and the patio was a great touch. Without us even asking, the staff set up a smaller bed for our daughter, which was a thoughtful gesture. I had originally planned for all 3 of us to fit in the king sized bed. The staff was incredibly friendly. The bellhop helped us with our suitcases and was very kind. Housekeeping was also great—they cleaned our room while we were out skiing, which was a nice and unexpected surprise. The hotel offers great amenities. The water pressure was strong, with nonstop hot water, and the central heating kept us warm. At night, they serve pizza, making late-night meals super convenient. There’s also a beautiful fireplace, though unfortunately, we weren’t able to light a fire. The only minor issue was with the power outlets—they sometimes only worked if you jiggled the phone charger a bit. I told the reception and they thanked me and said they will fix it. Also if you are old, handicapped or in crutches the up and down hill from the room will be difficult. Just sharing honest facts so you're prepared! Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and I would definitely return if I visit Arachova again!

The expectations for this resort were higher but unfortunately they were disappointing. -The staff was welcoming and polite. - Starting with the pool which was no more than 20 degrees(not 26 degrees as is mentioned). - Turning on the heating system but it didn't work, I asked and they told me that there was a system problem because a screw was broken, turning on the air conditioner but the old model with only one speed system and with a loud noise that didn't even heat the room but also with a noise that we couldn't sleep all night (we were with a 1 year old child). - In the morning we met the Receptionist and told him about the heating situation and he said that there was no problem but the system was closed and in a voice he accused as if he was going to fire the person who was in charge of it and what he had told us and immediately he left and turned on the main heating system and the room heating changed as well as the towel dryer. -Breakfast on the first day was served with some food that might have been left over from other days and an omelette after they said that we were few people in the resort. While on the second day a buffet breakfast was served like in any normal place. -Walls scratched and not painted or repaired. -A damaged plug from the wall surface and an extension cord right at your feet or very dangerous in our case with children is not expected and tolerated in such a resort. -Hair dryer with bare strands and a connection of power cords to wish that from its use it can be very easily disconnected. This has been my worst experience in all the resorts i have stayed in Greece and does not deserve those stars.
