What about the Honeysuckle? My sanctuary. I love it. The apartment, the garden, the view, Ms. Win.
We reserved the house for three months and in the end we stayed for just one week, losing A LOT of money. It all started with the tenancy contract that is a mandatory condition for me since my employer requires it and the owner confirmed we can have. However, due to miscommunication on both ends, in the end it turned out not to be the case. But okay, NO ONE TO BLAME HERE since we also communicated the details poorly. But after that, every day we had a new problem: we said from the beginning we were coming to work remotely from the house but the wifi connection was non-existant on the first floor and very poor on the second; all the kitchen equipment was VERY dirty (we found dishes with mold, all the cutlery was in the sink waiting to be washed); the washing machine broke the first day during a short circuit (the owner kept blaming us for that, but it was enough to connect a laptop, a radio and washing machine to cause the short circuit); we got severe bitings on our backs and arms from the matress (probably bed bugs) and the owner accused us to have taken the parasites from elsewhere (just because she knew we were in Peru she said it was for sure from there - unfortunately for her we came back from Peru one month before and we never had problems like this before coming to Petrokefalo). The worst thing was that after some problems occurred the owner became VERY SUSPICIOUS and the communication with her was a nightmare - at some point I asked why the gate to reach the other washing machine was not open (it was, but it was very very hot so I had to put a lot of strenght/cold water) and she was very bothered by my question like I asked her for a transplant. She also screamed at us on the phone and hang up without letting us talk even threating to kick us out since the money from Airbnb came in late and she thought we are trying to scam her - this suspicious behaviour was CONSTANT. Lastly, since she was obliged to call the desinsection company she kindly offered us to stay in one of the adjacent houses she owns. Wanting to be careful with the bed bugs problem, I thought it was smart not to move immediately to another house with all of our baggages, so we were just taking our clothes to wash in the new house (that had a washing machine) planning to move there when everything would have been clean. When she came to the apartment and she saw that we still didn't move our things she was angry and she accused us of "using two houses" - whatever that's supposed to mean. After finally moving all of our things without being careful (she basically kicked us in the other house), she accused us of leaving the oven on when we were leaving even though we did not at any point use it and she was cleaning it some minutes before. When I explained to her that probably she touched the starting knob by mistake while cleaning she poorly tried to find an excuse. In the end, she also tried to tell us we had to pay for the electrical bill even if this detail was never mentioned in the listing nor communicated to us during our check-in. I don't usually like to leave long and negative reviews but since all of this incidents happen in 8 days and the behaviour of the owner was unacceptable, I am gladly making an exception.
For a long-term rental, after closing a deal, there were last minute changes to prices and conditions. They don't answer the phone or give explanations.
