Excellent Onsen with Sauna and cold tub - great for healing muscle aches! It is squeaky clean and well-maintained at all times by a staff member. There is a café with food available. A special mention should be made of the kind and generous staff, and in particular Miss Ayaka, who helped this tired foreign lady-cyclist find a place for the night. I thank them all for their sense of hospitality.

It's a small, cozy bath. Body soap and rinse-in shampoo are provided. The shower is powerful and you can use it as much as you want, which is rare these days. The bath smells a little like chlorine, I guess? The location of the open-air bath is great. You can bathe in the middle of nature while listening to the birds and insects. As other reviews have said, it's inevitable that insects will get into the bath... but it wasn't full of bugs. It seems that locals use it every day, but I was quite surprised by people reserving spots and drying their toes with hair dryers. The meal and hot spring set was a good deal.

It was very crowded because I visited on a Saturday night in summer. Still, the guy at the front desk was very friendly. Local bread, vegetables, processed meat, and souvenirs were on sale, so I enjoyed shopping. I had to line up at the following points. ・Shoe locker ・Front desk/cash register ・Washing area The shoe locker is small and traffic flow is not good. It may be smoother if you bring a bag to put your shoes in and carry them to the locker room. You need 100 yen coins for the locker key. There is no change machine, so if you need it, you can buy things from the vending machine. I didn't feel like lining up again at the front desk to exchange money. There are massage machines and other things installed, so surely a change machine is necessary? Or maybe they could make the entrance tickets vending machine... The washing area and bathroom are small, so you have to wait in line everywhere. There is no shower, so even if you want to get out, you have to wait in line again. I came here thinking I would spend my brief free time under the quiet starry sky, but... hmm. If you think about it, the bathing fee is only 500 yen. This is an era when super public baths cost 1600 yen and internet cafe shower rooms cost 500 yen. It's cheap, or at least a reasonable price. You might think that you don't need to go all the way to Fukagawa for this, but if you're on a tour or something and happen to stop by, it's not a bad choice. It's clean, reasonably priced, and a fun place. If you're planning a day trip to the baths during the tourist season, I recommend inquiring about relatively quiet days and times.
