This lodge is very nice but main highlight is the staff. The staff here is very warm, humble and friendly. They will always try to help you be it with food or anything. The game drive experience was phenomenal. We spotted all big 5 in just three game drives. Our guide was very experienced and was very friendly. The overall experience was top notch. I will highly recommend this place.
We had an incredible time at the River Lodge. Thanks to our guides Emmanuel and Shadrach we saw the big 5 and lots of other animals. All staff were attentive and friendly.
Spent 3 nights at the river Lodge. 21st-23rd March. Lovely setting but our rooms were away from the main eating area so had to wait for a safari vehicle to take us to our rooms after every meal. This took a while sometimes and in the evening all we wanted was to get to bed for the next early game drive. Twice the vehicle was a seven seater and there was 8 of us. It is not very comfortable sitting on a 'camera box' for 10-15 minutes on a bumpy road. If you are on a gluten free diet be aware the chef, when we were there, does not fully understand what is gluten free. I was given Rye bread. This is NOT gluten free. When I questioned him he assured me it was!! Jane Brewer.
