Fantastic hotel. It's very kitschy looking but smartly designed. The property itself is stunning with amazing pools and great views. Breakfast was really fantastic and had countless options. Dinners were decent. The only negative is the town of Gordes itself, which is overwhelmed with tourists and much less scenic than the towns to its east.
This is hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. So many of the negative reviews are for people just coming for a drink or dinner, as a guest, this was an unforgettable experience. It was my first time to the Provence area and I absolutely loved the small quaint town of Gordes. There are a few shops, restaurants, biking and hiking trails and vineyards ranging from 15-45 minutes drive away. There isn’t as much to do as an area like Aix en Provence but we appreciated that. The hotel is extremely well maintained and the staff are exceptional. The weather was nice but cool and we were blown away by the indoor pool and spa facilities. We loved breakfast every morning and enjoyed lunch or dessert at the bar or on the terrace. Our room was perfect. The bathroom was a little small but we booked the small bedroom and overall it was so well done we didn’t notice. They have amazing products in the bathrooms, linens, towels, and they gave us small gifts to take home that were a really nice touch (monogrammed luggage tags for one!!). Our only feedback is the room was a little stuffy. It sounds like the AC doesn’t start working in rooms until later in the season when it’s warmer but we just opened windows and it was fine. We were facing the village side (not valley view) and were only one level up from the ground floor but the noise wasn’t too bad. Don’t book this side if a view is important to you though. Anytime we return to France we will absolutely stay here. Thank you!
We just completed a lovely 4 night stay here. Beautiful resort, fantastic pool and charming little town! It’s the perfect place to truly unwind and relax, and enjoy a little slice of Provence. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
