Clean and modern rooms but very noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear the elevator very loudly. The air conditioning is also very loud and the room is not that dark at night. The breakfast buffet was very good. The wellness is a nice added touch but a bit underwhelming. You can only enter during certain time slots and only for 70 minutes in total per day. You are obliged to wear a swimming cap (it costs 3€). The facilities are decent but crowded. Modern and spacious gym available. The outdoor pool was closed, with no explanation given besides that “there is no life guard”. I had the feeling they never have a life guard and just don’t want to open the pool… The service could be better. Certain staff members were cold and reserved and only gave information when you kept asking. The location is perfect to visit the Etna. The views on the Etna and the Mediterranean Sea are magnificent. Since we only paid 67€ per night, I would consider it good value for money.
hotel was nice, service personnel good. but receptionist was not taking care well. and also they made calculation mistakes and was charging more. be careful for this. what a bad chance they had electric issue and some of the facilities were not working. it was lower than our expectation. And pool and spa is in service from 10:00 am and it is a bit late and check out is also at 10:30 am that is earlier than normal and last day you can enjoy them.
I arrived just over two hours ago and already regret it. We arrived just before 9pm to find the restaurant already closed and to only be given the option of ordering from a local takeaway menu. The room is extremely dated and the furniture and lamps are covered in a thick layer of dust. The kids fold out bunk bed was not made with no spare sheets and pillows for them. We had to contact reception twice until each bed had a sheet and pillow. The hotel bar was not tended to and was left waiting an age for someone to finally appear. The only thing guaranteed is the stereotypical Italian laziness and rudeness. 4 star hotel, this is not.
