Akame Onsen Kakure No Yu Taisenkaku

Friendly and helpful staff, the hotel looks amazing with the decoration and interior. It also offers a private onsen if you want to relax a hot bath without other people with extra charge and advance reservation. Great dinner and breakfast. Located in the perfect location, just nearby the Akame 48 waterfall, a must-visit attraction for nature activist (Stunning view). Really Recommend!!!

We stayed in the old building. The room was Japanese style good for 3-4 futons. The ryokan's indoor and outdoor onsens were separated. So one needs to put on clothing before moving from indoor pool to outdoor pool, or vice versa. The dinner was very good. We chose the beef course offering high quality Iga beef. Beverages are offered near the reception area. Overall, it is a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Very close to the falls, with onsen inside and out. However our experience was sub par. We booked directly via hotel website which was much more expensive than other sites. Our room had only ceiling AC and warm air stayed only upper part. Since we were sleeping with futon (on a floor) it was so cold we could not sleep at all. There were bed bugs in our futon (pictured) Dinner was ok but not satisfactory for what we paid 33000 per night. Worse, I complained to manager/CEO Mr Tamaki but he did not do anything and even tried to hide from us. They promised to send a letter and a compensation but it has not arrived after two months. Not recommended.
