Our stay at AKI Plose was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s contemporary architecture blends beautifully with the surrounding alpine landscape, creating a serene and stylish retreat. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed into spacious, modern interiors, where the thoughtfully designed children’s play area immediately captured the attention of our little ones (ages 2 and 4). The staff’s warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay seamless from start to finish. The on-site ski school was incredibly convenient, offering tailored programs specifically for children. The childcare facilities were exceptional, with caring teachers who not only tended to every need but also accompanied the kids to and from their ski lessons. Daily activities—ranging from hands-on cooking classes to nature-inspired creative arts—kept our children happily engaged and joyful. Private transfers made the quick 10-minute journey to the scenic Plose ski area effortless. With 40 kilometers of slopes, the terrain was perfect for family-friendly skiing adventures. A standout feature of our stay was the spa, nestled among the trees—a peaceful haven where we especially enjoyed the daily sauna ceremonies, which deepened our sense of relaxation and connection to nature. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of our next visit.

This hotel is worth an award in the Kinderhotel category. The location, layout, landscaping and architecture is beyond amazing. I want to name a few things that is truly outstanding and you can’t get anywhere else: 1. Thule all terrain buggies in single, double, and even quadruple sizes standing everywhere and free to grab; 2. Top quality mountain e-bikes also free to use; 3. Holle Baby food and milk powder 4. There is a special fresh baby food section on the daily menu Suggestions for improvement: 1. The pool hour could really be extended in the summer months. The sun won’t set until 9pm ish. Lots kids and families can still use some pool time in the early evening. 2. The activity reservation system is a bit cumbersome to navigate. The activities were shown booked out but if you asked in person, they somehow still could still fit you in.

A wonderful stay in a stunning, family-oriented hotel with an amazing staff— just a few thoughtful adjustments would make it perfect for guests with babies. We had a wonderful stay at AKI Hotel. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and located in a breathtaking mountain setting that feels both peaceful and luxurious. Everything is thoughtfully planned to help families relax. Our room was quiet and spacious, located at the end of the hotel near the adult spa: an absolute highlight, nestled in the woods and offering a serene, natural escape. The staff were warm, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent: varied, high-quality, and beautifully presented. It’s cooked on-site, and the homemade pasta was a real highlight. Some dishes were a little too salty for our personal taste, but overall, the dining experience was a big positive. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. One small improvement would be to ask guests to remove their shoes in baby areas like the indoor playground next to the restaurant. With so many crawling babies, it would feel more hygienic to avoid tracking in dirt from outside. Special kudos to the baby club staff — kind, welcoming, and experienced. We really felt our baby was well cared for. That said, traveling with a newborn comes with specific needs, and we have a few suggestions that could make the stay even more seamless for families with young babies: - Baby bottle stations: It would be helpful to have bottle prep stations not only at reception and the restaurant, but distributed across each wing or corridor of the hotel. That way, every room would have relatively easy access, especially for night feeds — without needing to walk across the entire hotel with a hungry baby. - In-room baby amenities: We struggled to wash and dry baby bottles in the room. It would be very helpful to include a small baby kit with a bottle-safe detergent, a brush, and a drying rack. We had to drive all the way to Bressanone to buy our own supplies, and we ended up using hotel towels to dry everything. - Baby cot: The mattress provided in the baby cot was very thin and our baby could feel the wooden slats underneath. We had to ask for a second mattress to make it comfortable. A higher-quality baby bed (or at least mattress) would have been appreciated, especially for newborns still sleeping in the parents’ room and not in the separate kids’ room (which is perfectly suited for older children). - Baby food: Having Holle organic jars available is a nice touch for occasional use, but we were expecting fresh, daily-prepared organic meals for babies, as described on the website. It would be wonderful to have mashed vegetables, meats, and fruits available at the restaurant for little ones not yet fully food-diversified. The current kids’ menu (pasta, nuggets, fries) is great for older children, but not suited to babies who can’t feed themselves yet. We’re especially grateful to the staff who kindly offered to pick up medication from the pharmacy when we were unwell — a gesture we truly appreciated. However, the pediatrician suggested by the hotel was very disappointing. She asked €300 for a visit and hung up on me when I explained I could not pay cash and only had a credit card. In the end, we went to the emergency department at the local hospital, where the staff were truly amazing and very professional. We strongly recommend the hotel consider a more reliable and respectful pediatric service. Even with some small struggles during the trip, we had a fantastic time. We believe this hotel is ideal for families with kids aged 4-5 and up, and we truly hope to come back in a few years and update this to a well-deserved 5-star review. Thank you to the whole AKI team for your kindness and hospitality!
