Akira Lipe Resort

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Our room with direct pool access was stunning,incredibly spacious and comfortable,it truly felt like a little slice of paradise. We were impressed by the thoughtful touches, especially the way the staff folded towels and even small paper items with such precision and dedication. The breakfast selection was exceptional, offering a delicious variety to suit every taste(i particularly recommend the creamy pastries,Chicken Soup and Thai Milk Tea). The entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome,everyone was very service oriented and always ready to help. We were especially impressed when we realized we had left something in our room after check-out and the team quickly located it and made sure it was returned to us. Akira exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We would definitely love to return!

Location is close to shops and restaurants and cafes. It’s beachfront and has a good size pool! Staffs are generally friendly, although most of the servers besides the reception, don’t really understand English, like the guys at the bar and restaurant. Not all are smiley as compared to what I hear about friendly Thais. Room is of good size and I have the pool at my doorstep. Comes with breakfast, although I’m not crazy about the buffet selection, I guess it’s adequate. The hotel has happy hours from 4-8pm , selections r limited , although I’m not sure about the quality of liquor they use, I get allergic reactions from the gin tonic I ordered, they only have Gordon’s and it’s never happened before, so… 🤷🏻‍♀️ good thing is, the allow me to change my 2nd drinks. In the evening they have dinner by the beach and live band at the pool side, which is nice. One other thing I’m not to happy with is, they don’t allow for late check out, not even by 30mins to an extra hour. Would prefer that option since my ferry is around 4pm. It would be nice to be able to have a little more swim and then shower before I head off.

This place is an absolute gem but their owners are just greedy. We have booked this hotel for the family visit and unfortunately two members got sick 3 days before the trip. We have tried to contact the management numerous times by email or Expedia messaging centre to cancel this reservation or at least to get a partial refund. We have never received any response even though they have left a message regarding ride to the hotel after arrival on island. If the booking was refundable then it probably wouldn’t be an issue. I was lacking the human factor but apparently it’s only a business for them. I would not return to the place that is so greedy that cannot even reply to the customer. Shame on you.
