We celebrated our friends' wedding dinner at Akquaaa restaurant and couldn't have been happier. The food was exceptional, my husband said it was the best steak he had ever eaten. The wine was fantastic but what stood out most was the service. The waiters and waitresses were so attentive, helpful and polite. I would 100% recommend eating here, excellent food, service and location Thank you for making our friends special evening even more special

The hotel is perfectly located on the main promenade just in front of the beach. The rooms are very clean and well kept. We were fortunate enough to have a sea view room which had a perfect view of the sea and a comfortable seating area. We opted for a la carte breakfast and it was delicious. There are loads of restaurants along the beach for all meals, but do your research before heading out. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the promenade which means it was quiet even at night and we could sleep with our window open and listen to the sea. We had salads on our last day at the hotel and they were delicious. Beautiful seating area right on the beach. Service is extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing missing was a small coffee machine in the room and then it would have been perfect. We enjoyed our time at Akquaaa - it is well worth it!

The four stars this hotel boasts seem to be solely for the view, because the rest of our experience was a significant letdown and certainly not up to a 4-star standard. The bathroom was noticeably worn and in need of a renovation. It felt tired and dated, which was disappointing. We decided to try the breakfast buffet, but it was very expensive for what was offered. The selection of cold cuts, cheese, and other toppings was surprisingly limited. To make matters worse, the coffee machine was out of order. We'd strongly recommend skipping the hotel breakfast and visiting the nearby bakery instead. It's much cheaper, and the quality and variety are far superior. Our attempt at having dinner at the hotel restaurant was equally frustrating. The waiters were not polite, and we had to ask multiple times just to get their attention and be served. To add to the poor service, the hotel staff actually advised us against visiting the old town. We decided to try our luck anyway and were so glad we did. The old town is very beautiful, with a fascinating history surrounding the old castle. It was baffling to receive such poor advice from the hotel. In summary, while the view from the hotel is lovely, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. The worn-out facilities, poor service, and bad recommendations only warrant a two-star rating from us.
