We were in Active Hotel in the beginning of March 2025 for one week ski vacation. Thanks to the excellent location, next to the lower station of the gondola, we had only couple of steps to the gondola. The ski bus was just opposite the hotel so we could also easilly go to other ski resorts in the Gastein Valley ( Bad Gastein, Bad Hoffgastein and Sport Gastein) using one ski pass.
An excellent hotel, with a welcoming and caring athmosphere created by the staff. Good info about the touring alternatives.
At checkout they tried to make me pay for services that weren't rendered, and they succeeded, I didn't have time to argue, the train wouldn't wait. It's not nice. Some items on the bill were only for cash, which I found out at checkout, which is absolutely unacceptable. Good thing I had cash. Or is this how they avoid paying taxes?
