Akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok

Had dinner and drinks at the rooftop bar and everything was delicious. Steak was very well cooked and seasoned. Fish tacos were excellent with plenty of citrus. We loved the view and spent time taking photos of the skyline at sunset. Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and there is even a happy hour menu. Great place to escape the heat and have a bite and a drink while enjoying the view

I picked this hotel because I was looking for "green" hotels for our journey to Thailand. I mean, we're flying across the world which in itself is enough to get a guilty conscience, I didn't want to contribute further to worldwide pollution by using the well known single use plastic amenities which are offered in basically every hotel. Akyra Sukhumvit claims on their website they are single-use plastic free, and I wasn't disappointed. Bathroom, bins, breakfast, no plastic to be seen. Very well done, guys! And it is proof, if we want to, we can achieve change! But environmental aspects aside, we had a fab stay in the hotel! The service is excellent (we didn't know how to get hot water in the shower and notified the staff, by the time we got up to the 3rd floor by elevator, somebody was already waiting at our door for us to explain), breakfast is vast with a wide variety of local and western dishes. Adding the rooftop bar and the marvellous view over the skyline on top of everything, when coming back to the hotel and having a drink, after a long day in the busy streets of Bangkok, one can only have a great time. You've made two travellers very happy!

Hotel was nice and in a great location. Rooftop bar was nice place to chill. Unfortunately swimming pool was under maintenance while I was there, but they did offer to bring you to alternate pools close by. Rooms were not huge but clean and comfortable. Can be a bit noisy at night but I guess its due to its location.
