Very friendly staff. Also the dishes are regional specialities and quiet delicious. Very calm and in a small village located. We had a training course here, so it's also equipped with nice meeting rooms. Outside the garden of the restaurant is a beautiful place to chill out, have a nice dinner or just drinking a wonderful German beer 🍻

My comment only on my experience in the restaurant: The staff was friendly and quite helpful, especially when I had to move due to smoking in the courtyard about ruining my rather nice lunch. It baffles me how restaurants, especially ones that have a "destination feel" featuring delicious seasonal specialities can allow smoking in dining areas. I came from about 2hrs. away for the day to visit the church next door, the old town and this restaurant for the monthly feature and had it in part ruined because an inconsiderate smoker had to pollute the air all around. I had to sit in a warm(er) darker indoors and would have liked to enjoy the meal and drinks in the lovely, sunny green courtyard next to the bubbling fountain, but couldn't because of the "smoking is allowed" policy. I don't understand why owners/chefs don't realize that guests come to taste and enjoy their food/specialities, not to suck in the carcinogenic air other guests spew out, and stop allowing smoking. It's disgusting and detracts from the experience of this traditional -style, comfortable atmosphere and the good food and drink. Management allowing smokers to ruin other's dining experiences is bad business and tells me as a customer the owners support this behaviour and sadly, don't care for my business.

The room was nice, and we were looking into having a good night's sleep after a bad night in a very hot room the previous night. All went well until at 10.00 p.m., when a crowd of other hotel guests invaded the inner yard below our open windows. They were having loud discussions, and I even heard a dog barking at times. Closing the windows helped for the voices a bit but ruined the hopes of a cool and well slept night because these German hotels really don't have any other ventilation than open windows. At 00.45 a.m. when waking up sweating, there was still a group of three people in the yard chatting. All this, regardless of our complaint to reception at 10.00 pm. This means that not very much was done by the hotel to make things better for us. It is obvious that the money from selling beer and wine is more important than the peaceful sleep of hotel guests.
