The host is just great. After our stay, George and his family became our friends forever. They give great advice for dinner, beaches and they helped us when my wife got sick. They really care about us and they are warm and kind in heart. Best host of my whole tourist life.

We stayed for a full week at this accommodation and are overall very satisfied. Positive points 1) The apartments itself. We had a coupled 2 and 3 person apartment, both fully equipped with kitchenette, balcony and bathroom. The apartments were clean, tidy and met our expectations. I think the value for money is very, very good. 2) Proximity of 2 supermarkets and many restaurants all within walking distance. 3) Very friendly and helpful staff. Both the owner George and all other staff (cleaning lady) were very friendly and our apartments were cleaned every 2 days. Even the dishes were done when we returned to our apartment. 4) Swimming pool was nice and well maintained. A bit cold in October but during the day there was plenty of sun to warm up again. A little bit less positive points: 1) The beach close to this apartment is not super nice compared to many of the other beaches in Samos. So if you want to visit a really nice beach you have to travel by car to that beach 2) The location of the town of Kampos on the island of Samos is nice if you are only looking for a place away from the big crowds, but if you want to visit one of the more interesting touristic sites you always need to travel by car. Distances on the island are not large, but travelling speed is slow. For example a visit to Tsamadou beach takes you 36km and 52 minutes. Pythagoreio is 35km and 55 minutes. 3) The toilets in our apartment (as many other toilets in Samos) don’t work that well if you try to flush away toilet paper. I just don’t like that to much and think it’s not that hygienic. We had a clogged up toilet a few times.

If you are looking for calm and peace, the Kampos region is wonderful. There are many accommodation options in this area. Albatross is one of them. A clean, quiet and safe facility. Rooms and furnishings are very clean. the owner George and the other staff are friendly and helpful. Room size and very convenient and adequate. The pool is constantly cleaned. The beach is very very close and calm. There are taverns with very tasty products nearby.
