Small charming hotel very close to the walls of the old center of Castelfranco
This has been the worst experience of my entire trip to Italy. The rooms look completely different in person than they do online. We didn’t have hot water the first night we stayed here. The staff is absolutely horrible. The old man & woman are beyond rude and refuse to help with any requests, even when I asked for a Coke. The beds are so hard I had to pull extra blankets out of the closet to put on the bed to try to get just a little more cushion because of how bad my body ached after the first night. The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor using the toilet & shower. Our air conditioning stopped working after the first day. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Please save your money and yourself a lot of headaches and book somewhere else. They will come to your room instead of calling (we were being “too loud”) but will come and yell at you to your face. I stayed in Capri, Rome, Florence, and finished the trip here which effectively made the last 4 days of my vacation absolutely terrible.
Booked a junior suite since the extra money compared to a double room seemed worth it. Upon arrival, everything was fine, we got checked in and the room was nice. Took a shower around 16:00, and the floor around the bathroom door was a bit wet. I did not think anything about it, thought I didn't close the shower curtain correctly, and cleaned up my mess. We went back to the hotel room around 22:00, put on the AC and went to bed. My partner could not sleep because the AC kept leaking water which could be heard audible on the floor and lamp. We tried to stop the water with some towels and tried to get some sleep. Around 01:00, I was woking up by rain.. except it was in our room where the AC poored water all of a sudden. I realized at that time that I didn't do anything wrong in my shower either, it was the AC. We turned off the AC, fixed the towels for the water damage and tried to get some sleep. Upon checking out and telling them we had a horrible night, the guy at the reception told us that they knew about the AC issue! And that it would be fixed today (as we leave). Feels like a money grab to let us stay in a room that has a known issue. Beware of room 306 folks.
