My husband and I stayed at Hotel Albergo del Senato for a few nights during our first visit to Rome and we were very impressed with the level of service and professionalism we experienced. For starters, the hotel was very helpful with arranging transport from the Airport to the Hotel, and allowed us to store our luggage there until check in. The room was clean and overlooked the Pantheon, which was an added bonus. The bathroom had small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toiletry kit, and hair dryer. Our room was cleaned while we left for the day, and because we were so actively exploring the city, we never had a room attendant knocking on the door wanting to come and clean. Security was good, and the windows were pretty sound proof, despite the mid-day noise from the crowds. There were a few nice restaurants on the square, and a great coffee shop steps away from the hotel. Luca and the other staff were excellent and though we didn't eat the included breakfast, it appeared to have a variety of foods and beverages. The rooftop was always available to sit and enjoy a drink from the bar or BYOB. I would stay here again and I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome who wants to be near all of the "must-see" places! Thank you!

We had a great stay at Albergo del Senato. You are at the Pantheon and 15-25 minutes from almost any of the historic sites in Rome. The room was clean, air conditioned and had enough room to relax in between adventures. The staff was super friendly and ready to assist you as needed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting and looking for local hospitality within the busy city.

We stayed at this hotel from July 2–5 in Room 608. I initially booked a room with a direct view of the Pantheon but ended up with a side view—which, in hindsight, worked out better since rooms facing the Pantheon can be quite noisy. The room was impeccable: very clean, comfortable, and larger than I expected. It was beautifully decorated and had a charming balcony overlooking the side of the Pantheon and nearby rooftops. The view wasn’t spectacular, but it had a quaint, slightly picturesque charm. Breakfast was outstanding, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. The terrace was also a highlight—a lovely spot to relax with a cocktail and soak in the surroundings. It was the perfect place to hang out and enjoy the view after a day of exploring. The only downside was the air conditioning. It was coolish two of the nights, but on one particularly humid evening, it stopped working altogether. The front desk was able to restore it around 11:30 p.m. directly from their desk, but it shut off again at 4 a.m., making for a stuffy night. This makes me think that guests don't have much control of the thermostat. That’s the reason I gave it four stars. The hotel’s location is fantastic—close to just about everything. I would definitely stay here again, though I’d choose a cooler month next time.
