This is a basic hotel but the maid service was excellent. The rooms were clean and the sheets and towels changed. Generally, service at reception and in the bar was friendly and efficient. The pool is very nice with plenty of loungers and seats. Slightly oddly, the pool and bar were closed early afternoon and the pool was fenced off! See photo. This is for a 'quiet period' though I doubt the clientele, mostly over 60 (this was end of season) would have made much noise but it was a blessing that the rap music was also turned off. Plenty of restaurants nearby and about 1km to the beach.
Where to start? On booking, this hotel complex has a different name than in reality. So it is quite difficult to find it if you have never been here. When we found it after about an hour and a half of driving around the nearby streets, we were given a completely different room than the one I ordered. So I complained about it and we were given a significantly larger one, but it was still not as described on the booking. It had two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other bedroom was supposed to have two separate beds. There was a double bed, but instead of two separate beds it was a bunk bed. It would probably be survivable, but it was so short that an adult could not fit on it (children's bunk beds). When trying to claim again, we were told that the room as described on booking is already taken and they don't have another one. I don't understand how such a mistake can happen! Unfortunately, the rooms have a kitchenette, but it lacks basic equipment such as an electric kettle, a wine bottle opener, glasses, mugs and other small things that are also found in much lower level accommodation. At the kettle, the staff brought us a container of milk, saying that we should heat the water in it? A bit of an old fashioned way. Otherwise, the room is quite clean and nice. In just 7 days there was no exchange of towels or any other service. Towels are changed only for a fee - again something that is automatic and free elsewhere. The air conditioning controller was missing, which we had to ask for again and it was brought to us only later. According to the staff, we were in the quiet zone, which was definitely not quiet. Nearby there is a noisy bar and a hotel corner for the animation program - perhaps the only one I have to praise, because there the staff tried to entertain people. What upset me the most is that the swimming pool was right next to the accommodation in the quiet zone. But they closed it on the day of our arrival and it was no longer open for the entire stay!!! Supposedly due to lack of staff. which is a bad argument when there were 5+ pool staff at the main pool and a bunch of them were on the phones. In my opinion, the real reason was the lower occupancy capacity of the hotel, so they closed it for one of the economic reasons. Well, really, mistake followed mistake, and I'm not surprised at all to the bad rating on google. It is a large hotel complex with potential, but the staff here really do little for the people. I have to apologize for the garbage in the room, but due to the inappropriate opening hours of the place intended for its removal, it was not possible to clean it. I don't understand why it doesn't work 24/7 like in other countries. However, there are not many bins and dustbins in Sardinia overall and it is quite a big problem. Anyway, I can't recommend this hotel because the service and room facilities here are really low. even the playground doesn't look like the photos. they are already in bad shape and near them there is an unimproved area full of garbage.
The staff are friendly and helpful- this is the only positive thing I can mention. We were greeted with a damp waft of drainage upon entering our apartment, which emanated from the bathroom. The women at reception inspected the room, and moved us to another apartment, which upon entering seemed acceptable. Little did we know, we had not escaped this intrusive stink, which greeted us the following morning. The AC (€10 per day for this privilege, a remote can be obtained at reception) and the bathroom fan left on all day didn't alleviate the stench whatsoever. The rooms are in various states of disrepair, especially noticeable on the door and window frames (eaten apart by insects, see pictures), and the "clean" bed sheets smelled entirely musty. I would be remiss if I did not mention the raiding party of ants that manifested on the floor of the kitchen area on the second night, which was a delightful surprise, especially considering that all of our food was stored in the fridge.... Absolutely disappointing.
