Albergo Terme San Lorenzo

Beautiful hotel located in the Lacco Ameno neighborhood on Ischia island. The hotel has great pools with thermal water but we were disappointed with service and the hotel restaurant quality. Even the breakfast buffet was average at best. Our room was out of hot water for a couple days and reception did not inform us the city was doing construction? It's an ok place if you are there for the thermal water and don't mind eating out everyday.

Restaurant: Food was very average and overpriced. Ate there only once for lunch and never went back. Service took forever, menu in English had the wrong dishes. Breakfast was always the same, coffee was burnt. I recommend getting a scooter and going out for lunch and dinner (ex. La Meridiana for seafood and Di Meglio for pizza). Rooms: had a very nice view from the balcony, floor tiles were beautiful, room was clean and cleaning ladies were very courteous. But showers were awful, would switch unexpectedly from hot to cold, when I told staff they said it was because the city was doing construction work on the water lines, why were we not notified? Pools: fantastic views, water was clean and warm, very positive experience. Bus: stop just 2minutes away, easy to get by Scooter: ask reception and they arrange to have the scooter delivered at the parking, cost us 25€ per day. Very convenient. Concert: very talented singer came twice for a nice concert

Thé hotel is quite run down, lack maintenance and not cleaned properly. Pools are dirty, floors in the rooms not cleaned daily and breakfast always the same and not of good quality. Location is a short walk down to town and the views from the property are nice.
