Albufeira Sol Hotel & Spa

The hotel staff has an outstanding efficiency: rooms are always clean, buffet area amazingly organized. Speaking of buffet the variety and food quality are fantastic always having local food in very high standards-we loved it! Both pools have heated water, the room size is surprising and having a proper fridge helped us keep our drinks cool at night. This isn't just another hotel, in so many years traveling I can't remember being so well received - they really cared about our well being!!

Overall good hotel. The room could do with an upgrade but was nice, clean and spacious in the suite. Outdoor and indoor pools (great as there were rain showers) were good. The animators were fantastic, friendly and active and the kids enjoyed their activities. Hotel shuttle bus to beach and town was great. Food and drinks was good; especially if staying with kids. Desserts could be better as it was mostly differnt flavour mousse. We visited in Apr2025, so it was not too busy and we were well attended to. Would choose this hotel again.

Would never stay here again. The atmosphere wasn’t great and there were a lot of things that went wrong during a 5 day stay?! I was expecting more from this hotel. They ask you for a €100 deposit and they never gave our deposit back as we paid by card they said it would be refunded but it wasn’t. I found a fly in my food on the first night (photo included), it crawled out of my olives, definitely not the start I was hoping for. After a long journey it was really disappointing. A few days later we also spotted a cockroach near the food and drinks area. This made us feel uneasy about the overall cleanliness and it put me off eating at the hotel for most of the stay. In general, the experience wasn’t great — the staff weren’t particularly friendly, and although the bar staff were polite, some of their comments came off as inappropriate at times. The pool area was always overcrowded, and we could never find a free sunbed. On top of that, our bed sheets had a musty smell, which added to the feeling that things weren’t being properly maintained. Overall, the stay didn’t live up to our expectations, and we wouldn’t return.
