Alcantara Resort di Charme Adults Only

Pros: Nice resort with well maintained garden, rooms and pool. Located in Gaggi (small town out of touristy places). Staff are fantastic! All the ladies from the bar and kitchen were lovely and friendly. They served you with smiles and top service minded. The room is spacious (we booked superior room) and cleaned everyday. The housekeepers are non english spoken but super friendly and kind. We love them all. The pool area is very very relaxing. You could order drinks and snack from the bar during 13:00-19:00. The taste of everything there is delicious. During our stay, the AC was leaking in the night, they fixed it right after you informed them in the morning. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. Thank you very much. Plenty of parking lots. Close to the resort has a supermarket called Conad, further are restaurants and take away. The resort main gate is closed from 21;00 but you would be given a key to open/close the gate during your stay. Nice view around the resort. Upon arrival, we received a bottle of prosecco for our honeymoon trip! Thank you very much. We love our stay and will definitely recommend to our friends. Improvements points: -Rooms somehow were built with something hollow. If someone moved something in their rooms (same building with yours) you would definitely hear the noise, or if the housekeepers started cleaning the other rooms, you would hear them. I think the wall is thin and if you are light sleepers, you would be bothered by that since they start cleaning the rooms early morning. -Right behind the resort, there is a kids playground where open from 19:00 to 24:00 with a lot of noises. Our first two nights were unmanageable noises until 1 am. The receptionist helped calling police after we complained but there was nothing he could do since they got permission from municipality. So you might consider this for booking. - If they would serve dinner after 19:00 would be perfect! The resort is located in the middle of small town. Onsite Dinner would be ideal to keep people spending and don’t need to go out. - Breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9:30 am which we found too early to stop the service. Most guests came for breakfast during 8:30 to 9:30 which made it busy and specially too early for vacation mode. If they could make it until 10:30 would be better because the snack bar opens from 13:00. We missed our breakfast a couple of times due to problem with noises next door and leaking AC in the night which made us super tired to wale up for breakfast. 😭 (Good things were the ladies from the bar gave us complimentary coffees for those 2 days) -wifi connection was not good. Very very slow. We needed to use our own service subscription.

The resort and the nature around is amazing. The pool is clean and nice. We did not use the pool as it was April and not warm enougj for swimming but we could have used it if we wanted. The maids cleaned the room every day and changed the towels. We had a terrace outside our ground floor room with amazing view on the pool. The grass was freshly trimmed every day. The only complaints were bad wifi connection, little ants entering from the garden to the room, lack of electric plug-ins and short bed.

This resort in gaggi sicily is amazing ! the staff is very nice, they help you with everything! Pina can speak a few languages so she can feel you right at home. Ylena is such a helpfull person with the very good breakfast and can give you some tips what to visit in the area. The staff at the desk are very nice and the manager (el capo :) ) even gave me some beautiful sicilian wine to taste. amazing amazing ! we even had some lunch here a couple of times, they will let you taste sicily. Don't even doubt it to book here, they are all very beautiful people. Lots of love of Wim and Joyce.
