I chose this hotel based on the reviews and pictures, which seemed promising. Positives: The location was excellent—close to both the bus and train stations, so we didn’t even need a taxi. The airport was only 15 minutes away, making it very convenient for travel. Negatives: The room was spacious but not very clean; we found someone’s belongings under the bed. There was no safe, no glasses, and not even a kettle in the room. The walls were thin, and we could hear our neighbors. However, we were aware of this beforehand, so it wasn’t a big surprise. The receptionist who greeted us was polite but lacked warmth, especially compared to the welcoming staff we encountered in Rome and Florence. The breakfast was a big disappointment. When we came at 7:09 AM (9 minutes after breakfast starts), most of the tables were reserved, and we were ignored by the staff until I specifically asked for a place to sit. There was very little food available, and it took more than 15 minutes before they replenished anything. Even then, the selection was poor, especially compared to the 3-star hotel we stayed at in Florence. After this experience, we had to go to a local café for a proper breakfast. Since my flight was before 7 AM (when breakfast officially starts), I politely asked the receptionist if it was possible to get some food earlier, as many hotels accommodate early departures. Instead of a helpful response, I was rudely told that it was not possible and that it was my problem. As a "charity," the receptionist said they can make me a coffee—an offer I declined despite the fact I already paid for breakfast in advance. The next morning, when I handed my keys to a different receptionist, he kindly offered me a coffee with a croissant, proving that they did have options available. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to stop and enjoy it before my flight. A little kindness and flexibility from the staff could have made a huge difference in my experience. Sadly, the service and breakfast left a lot to be desired. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

I haven’t seen a hotel like this! After we finished the breakfast they changed the dishes to very delicious food! A lot of delicious bread appeared and the vegetables appeared 😭😭😭 And the dinner was so salty… This hotel is really not a good one I think I won’t booking And we will tell my friend 😭😭😭 It’s really hurts We are a tour which have 25 people from Japan which will visit Italy for 8days. This opinion is not only from me but all of our group members! It’s the truth! It’s my first time to visit Italy. So I sent this Not for revenge! It’s worthless! We know you think you should provide delicious food for your VIP guests. But it’s really not good for changing the food we leave before! And let us see it !

I tried to cancel my reservation due to the fact that all flights from my country were canceled because of the war with iran. Unfortunately the hotel refused to return my money. It's not that we had a choice, we can't get out of the country. This is Alexander Hotel. I personally will never book a room with them
