Alexandra Beach Spa Resort

We are just at the end of our stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and clean. The choice and quality of food is exceptional and the dining room staff work so hard. Every breakfast and evening meal we were greeted by the lovely Florentina who was always so friendly and welcoming and most evenings we were served and looked after by Sofia who was also so lovely. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel and we particularly liked being here during this quieter period.

Beautiful location and views, and the gardens are well kept. Staff were generally kind, especially Nicky and Theo and the sailing trip was a highlight. The hotel has its own marina, which makes it easy to join activities directly from the resort. Just skip the packed lunch, it didn't match the quality of the rest of the experience. That said, the hotel fell short of a 4-star experience. The taverna closed at 6:30pm during our stay (we were told it opens later from June), which left only the buffet as a dinner option, not ideal for guests with limited mobility. Room service was limited to the pool bar, where I had one of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten, and there's a €10 minimum spend. The minibar was empty unless prepaid, and the safe, charged at €2.50/day, was at the bottom of the wardrobe, unattached, and required kneeling to use. There's also a €1 charge for beach towels, the gym doesn't open until 10am, and despite using the "please clean sign", our room wasn't cleaned two days in a row. Noise from neighbouring rooms and upstairs was also an issue due to lack of soundproofing. Nice place overall, close to Potos, but not mobility-friendly and not up to 4-star standards.

Worst experience ever. We paid for a double room with one big bed and when we got there we were given economy rooms with twin beds and when we confronted them they told us that for them double rooms are the economy rooms. Also the service is terrible most of the staff is acting like they are making you favours and you should be grateful for letting you stay there and serving you. We also got demi pension with breakfast and dinner and they didn’t even give you water (as in tap water) and they forced us to buy water. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, there are a lot of good and nice places in Greece where you can stay besides here.
