Immaculately preserved 80s hotel! spacious, functional and clutter-free. the 80s nostalgia is strong within this one! Pros: 1. clean....spotless clean. very cosy room and spaces. 2. the standard room is quite large, comes with sofas...very hard to find such big rooms in this price. bathroom is spacious too 3. adorned with large windows, the room receives a lot natural light. we slept with the windows open. we slept deep! 4. i loved the pillows and sheets, very soft and comfy. 5. the staff are spectacularly friendly and efficient! Cons: 1. no curtain in the shower. Water spills on the floor. 2. breakfast options were limited (and that's putting it politely). Despite the shortcomings, I won't be complaining; the price is a bargain! The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. In the heart of Beirut, if a neighborhood is quiet, it means it's not that easy to get to by car. Search for Pharmacy Alexander for more accurate direction in maps.
The staff was friendly and cooperative. Mattresses and other furniture are comfortable, the lobby is spacious, quiet, and cozy. There is an open WiFi network with good coverage in all areas of the hotel with reasonable speed, but it has an issue with consistency as I couldn't make voice calls. The "Continental breakfast" could improve, there are very few types of dishes available, the juices are not fresh. The tea tasted old and cold, the fruit salad didn't look good as some ingredients were overripe so I didn't try it.
Hotel Alexandre is one of the oldest hotels established in Achrafieh. The rooms have a nice view overlooking the mountains. It has a large parking space and a beautiful green spot in front of it. The lobby is very spacious and pleasant. The only problem is getting there as it is situated on a steep one way street.
