I honestly couldn’t find much to fault about this hotel. The rooms were clean, the food was great, the service was great and the location was good. My family and I stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed it very much. Maybe the only thing I could say is that the air conditioning was a little weak but if you kept the balcony closed and the curtains drown it cooled down within about an hour. Overall it was a very good hotel and would recommend it, we will be coming back.
Rooms need an upgrade. Our room was not clean when we arrived, we complained and we're moved to a cleaner room, not perfect but better. Can't complain about the service, it was all very good. The location is not great if your away with young children, its next to Veronica's, a very lively area for young people on the lash
We stayed at this hotel at the end of July. The hotel itself is generally well maintained and has a pleasant interior. The communal areas like the hall, canteen, and pool are spacious, clean, and enjoyable. The food was consistently good, with a wide variety and generous portions, and there was a solid selection of beverages as well. However, there are some downsides to be aware of. The WiFi is very unreliable and frequently disconnects, so we had to rely on mobile data which was also slow due to the high number of users in the area. We booked three rooms, all of which were clean but quite small and definitely not quiet. Unfortunately, the views from our balconies were far from ideal, overlooking what appeared to be an open storm drain and a nearby alley. This area seemed to attract questionable activity, especially late at night and early in the morning we regularly heard shouting, breaking glass, and disturbances, which made it difficult to relax. One of the biggest concerns is the surrounding area. In the evenings, nights, and even early mornings, the streets around the hotel feel unsafe. It’s not uncommon to encounter people under the influence, and there’s a visible presence of prostitution. This is definitely not ideal for families with children. Even during the day, the smell of urine is overwhelming in many spots, and the general cleanliness of the streets leaves much to be desired. The beaches, while popular, lack public toilets, and we were told the city struggles to manage the mess left behind by partygoers. Unfortunately, this shows, there’s litter all around, including on the wave breakers. In summary, while the hotel itself is decent and offers good food and service, the condition of the surrounding area significantly affects the overall experience. Families in particular may want to consider this carefully before booking.
