Alghero Vacanze Hotel

The staff was friendly and the hotel is a short walk from all the main attractions. However, the hotel is very loud both in the morning and at night we were woken up either in the middle of the night or in the early morning almost everyday for a week. We wanted to have a quiet night in one day, so we decided to get a bottle of wine at the hotel. This bottle of wine was off which we informed the staff about, both at the time and and checkout. We were still charged for the wine!!

1 star hotel instead of 4 star hotel. I go on holiday 5 times per year. This by far worst experience I ever had. The owner is only objective is money and not giving a good experience to his customers. - Old & outdated shower, tap and showhead. Very rusty - Insects in the bed and all over the floor. The owner didn’t want to give us a new room although there were a lot of rooms available. He didn’t want to clean the room again for other people. His solution was to spray poison all over the bed and floor while we are stayin in this room. - You have to use your towels for 3 days. If you want fresh towels before these 3 days. You would need to pay EXTRA 2 euro per towel. As a reason is given that is better for the environment - The doors are very bad. Doesn’t stop any noise. You hear all the people that are in the hallway as if they are in your room. After we didn’t get a new room because of the insects in our bed. We decided to leave the room 3 night early. We ended up loosing 400 euro because the owner didn’t want to cancel our reservation. But we felt this was the right decision. Expedia also tried to contact the owner to cancel our reservation but the owner was only after the money. We received a voucher of 87 euro from site were we booked it to compensate for this.

A 4-Star Horror: Beds infested with crawling tiny guests—avoid this hotel. This hotel is a complete disaster. The room was filled with a horrible smell of dampness and mold, and it clearly hadn’t been maintained in decades. We were woken up at 4 AM by ants crawling all over our bed—there were so many of them that they were even crawling on our bodies and in our hair. The staff offered no apologies or explanations. There was no hot water at any time, and the bathroom situation was even worse. We booked it because our flight was delayed and we needed a place for one night, with our expectations already very low. However, this hotel was a nightmare we couldn't imagine and the staff’s lack of care made the experience even worse. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
