HIGHLY RECOMMEND for any couple looking for a stress-free week away in a beautiful, unspoiled part of Greece. Our holiday began with Tony, the staff member who drives the buggy around the site. He gave us loads of insight into Pefkochori and remained so friendly and helpful throughout the entire week. The rest of the bar and restaurant staff were equally attentive and welcoming. The food was good — not mind-blowing, but perfectly enjoyable for an all-inclusive buffet. There was definitely enough variety during the week to avoid feeling repetitive. The views of the town from the pool alone are worth the stay. Overall, this is an ideal spot for couples or small groups of friends looking for a relaxed, low-maintenance holiday in a gorgeous setting.
We stayed at Alia for 6 nights in August. The hotel is very nice and clean, with an amazing view and a peaceful atmosphere both day and night. It’s the perfect place if you want to relax and escape the crowded villages of Chalkidiki. I would like to mention that the dinner buffet did not fully meet 5-star expectations. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t match the overall high-quality standards the hotel maintains. The biggest disappointment was the pastry buffet, where both variety and quality were quite poor. Overall, our stay was very good. The reception staff was polite and welcoming, with special mention to Tony, who was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional.
Let's start with the fact that In my .opinion the hotel is not a 5-star hotel The food is not varied . A small selection of fresh vegetables in the morning (only cucumber and tomato). The dining room is not clean. There are dead flies on the floor The hotel is far from the town and the beach. So on the one hand there is incredible silence, but it must be taken into account for those who care about it. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour from the hotel and back. And the driver is very nice and always arrives on time. There is no water flow in the shower. We asked them to fix it. They replaced the shower head. but there was still no good flow. We didn't ask again The room is very dirty. Remnants of hair on the sofa, and on the towels. And the bedding had remnants of leaves from the trees outside. The pool in the room is very small, low, not completely full and very neglected. It has rust, it is broken in some places and there were cigarette butts outside the pool. The chairs on the balcony are dirty, full of stains The hotel has 2 pools. Both are beautiful, with a beautiful view. And another pool that is supposed to be a jacuzzi but it is not working. There is a beach that works with the hotel and the beds are supposed to be free. But the manager deliberately delays seating the hotel guests or seats them in disgusting places like near the garbage cans, because he does not receive payment for the bed. The town of Pefkohori is very touristy. Less authentic. It is worth renting a car because there is no way to get around. I did not see any taxis. The service at the hotel is pleasant and everyone is nice. On our first night there were long power outages, they claim due to the crowd. It was very hot without air conditioning and no light. Other guests said that regardless, the air conditioning in their room did not work and was not fixed until 2 am. The rooms with the pool and forest view are very dark at night for those who are afraid to take it into account.
