The Alila hotel is a hidden gem. Perfect for a relaxing retreat and break from the skyscrapers and city. Luxury in the desert. The hotel staff are very helpful and kind. Ramraj, Ava, Florina and the rest of the team made me feel welcome. The chefs were also very interactive and welcomed feedback and conversation. No request was too big or small for the team. As the hotel is in the middle of no where and the closest small town is about 20 minutes drive away you have not much choice but to eat at the resort. Although pricey, the food is good. You also get complimentary breads and welcome drinks at each restaurant. There are tennis courts, 2 pools outside a gym and a spa as well as daily activities such as tea making and kayaking etc. Enough to keep occupied for a few days. On top of this, during the summer seasons you can snorkel and do other activities. There is a massive natural beach in the resort too which is not busy so you can relax and enjoy. The rooms and facilities were up to scratch and a nice blend of modern but homely decor. Very clean rooms and house keeping is on point. The resort is quite big but they have buggies to take you around if you don’t feel like walking. Overall would highly recommend for 3-4 days and I look forward to returning soon.
Luxury Resort a must stop during khareef season Rooms are well equipped and clean Staff are helpful and supportive, special thanks for Manju and Ava for their hospitality and service, much appreciated. Pools and Gym are well maintained. The only observation on pool is due to windy weather the towels on pool get dust on. Better to reserve them in container at pool side. Breakfast is superb Well come back for sure
“Everything was great — the place was amazing, clean, and a perfect choice for relaxation. However, the staff were a bit difficult to deal with and not very clear about what’s allowed and what’s not. It felt like they wanted you to pay extra for everything. Still, it was a lovely experience and I’d definitely come back again. A perfect spot to escape the noise of the city.”
