Alila Jabal Akhdar is truly a hidden gem nestled high in the Omani mountains. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with breathtaking canyon views, cool fresh air, and a calm that’s hard to find elsewhere in the region. The design of the resort blends beautifully with the surrounding nature—earthy tones, stone walls, and wooden elements that feel both luxurious and organic. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and come with large terraces perfect for enjoying sunrise or stargazing at night. Service is top-notch. The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, always ready to help without being intrusive. Dining at the resort was another highlight—the food is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and caters to a range of preferences. Whether you’re going for a romantic getaway or a peaceful solo retreat, Alila Jabal Akhdar is unforgettable. Worth every moment.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and the team went above and beyond with the most beautiful welcome decoration! The bathroom and tub were stunning, and our suite had a gorgeous cliff view with a huge terrace to relax on. The stargazing experience was a highlight, with a professional telescope that let us truly see the stars. Breakfast was also lovely. Driving up the mountain wasn’t as scary as expected — if you’re comfortable with mountain driving, it’s very manageable. Just be cautious, as some sections have pretty steep uphills. The only downside was that the restaurant menu doesn’t include the 22% taxes in the listed prices. Other than that, a magical and memorable stay.

This place is magical. A WOW effect. The Staff goes above and beyond to cater to your needs. Rooms are comfortable, great size and super clean. The only downside was the food- quite average for a hotel of this standard. And fresh local produce is not put forward.There are olive trees everywhere, they produce their own olive oil. We had to ask to taste. There are herbs. Villages around have pomegranate trees, grow cherry tomatoes, goats, sheep, donkeys...Any milk, cheese, yogurt they produce? The menu should reflect the area’s rich local produce, which would have elevated the Alila experience and given guests a real taste of the region.
