Allara Homestead

Cheryl was a wonderful host, she greeted us at the door and was took great care of us, greeting us with a date slice, chocolates and some lovely port. Our room, the Vintage Rose was beautiful, looking out over a spectacular pond. The room and facilities were very cozy and comfortable, with a very minor issue of the water pressure on the shower being a tad low. The breakfast the next morning was delightful, with Cheryl's delicious homemade bread and jams, home made muesli, as well as a home cooked meal (sweet potato quiche on the first morning, and maple glazed bacon on the second morning). It was a real treat, and in a fairly convenient location, with Montville about 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

As a group of 4 couples this was a perfect location for a reunion and it was good to have a common area that we could use. Cheryl and Ian were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The rooms were well presented and comfortable. Breakfasts consisted of many delicious homemade goodies. Grounds were delightful and we enjoyed the bird life.

The property is beautiful and the rooms are each uniquely decorated. You can immediately tell that the hosts Cheryl and Ian have paid special attention to details and treat each guest as if they were the only ones there. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.
