Allenberry Resort

My children and I stayed at the Allenberry Resort in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania for the first time after hearing so many wonderful stories from my mother and her parents about their love for the resort. We are very thankful for the exceptional hospitality and thoughtfulness of the entire staff. However, the owner and grounds manager Michael Kennedy went above and beyond to make a very special gesture for us that brought tears to our eyes. We will forever be grateful to him and his family for their generosity and kindness. My mother, Nannette Kapp Forney had very special memories of the Allenberry because of her love of nature, the beauty of the entire resort’s landscaping and its beautiful gardens. The resort is an absolute serene and beautiful place with the Yellow Breeches Creek running alongside the many spectacular houses and cottages for guests to stay in. It is truly amazing at night when the quaint lighting through the grounds are lit and the sound of the river flowing is just breathtaking. The restaurant on the resort also offers breakfast, lunch and dinner for very reasonable prices and the food and service is excellent. Thank you Mr. Kennedy for making our stay so special and welcoming. We appreciate your kindness in ways that we can never express enough.

The location is beautiful, the rooms are very nice. We had one with a balcony and tbe kitchenette can be really useful although there is no table to eat your meal. The only thing they need to have a new shower floor, it doesn't look good. The pool is really great. The pickleball court is great having the quick circles by and sitting by the creek and seeing some fishermen fishing and just, it's very nice, beautiful. The service upon checking was great. James was great coffee. They have, uh, yeah, some local blend and the iced coffee, the iced Americano was really good. So all in all great experience, so far

Waited 30 minutes for 3 drinks and our waitress was almost absent the entire time. We had to get the managers attention 3 times and at one point he was extremely rude to us. Ordered our food and then took another hour for our food to come out and at that point two orders were incorrect! Messed up the chicken sandwich and we sent it back and they didn’t bring another out until 20 minutes later. We ended up having them box it up. The service was actually terrible and our waitress would leave us alone for 30 minutes at times. Our check was then wrong and they double charged us for the chicken sandwich. So many errors and bad service. Not coming back
