Allure Hotel & Apartments

Great location of hotel, very clean, best rooms with plenty of space. Comfortable king size bed. Pity you only get a sheet and blanket for sleeping. Would be nice to have a doona with a cover on it for cosy sleeping. The blankets are polyester. Air con and heating are excellent and quiet and I love that you can open the windows for fresh air to sleep.

The rooms were clean and contained all the minimum needed; however they were quite small and there was no space to hang out at evening: the reception was closed, there was no communal space (especially compared to other with same standard we’ve been to during our trip in QLD). Also the reception was very minimalistic and didn’t provide a warm welcome or lots of information. Finally, the seats in the pool were very uncomfortable.

I would give zero stars if I could. We arrived at this hotel after hours. Their so-called emergency after-hours phone number was completely useless—no one answered despite multiple calls. We had no choice but to sleep outside on the hotel's doorstep that night. It was an incredibly unsafe, uncomfortable, and unacceptable situation, especially considering we had paid for a reservation. To make matters worse, the police showed up at the hotel that night for an unrelated incident with a resident, adding to the feeling of complete insecurity and chaos. This was one of the most uncomfortable and unsafe travel experiences I’ve ever had. The next day, I contacted the hotel directly, and they acknowledged the issue and promised to refund my stay due to the inconvenience. Unfortunately, that was just empty talk. Days passed with no refund, and when I escalated the situation through Expedia, the hotel management refused to issue the refund they had previously promised. This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property at all costs. There are far better and more reliable places to stay.
