Allure Hotel & Spa

The hotel was great, very modern and attractive design, but the location could be much more attractive, the staff (expect for the wellness area) was very kind, The food is great but with quite high prizes and the hotel in total is quite expensive but not crowded at all. The wellness area seemed to be larger on the pictures but it looked great.

The hotel is outside of Eger central area, in a zone where there is an electrical plant, communist apartment blocks but also nice hills view. The room, an apartment, was very big and nice, even utilities included. Good bed, good sleep and no noise. The spa area is good, Finnish spa, infrared sauna, steam sauna, salt room and several pools with jacuzzi. Very good spa experience in the evening, bad on second day as at 9 things were not started up, wet sauna had some black stuff on the ground, Finnish sauna was cold and not aired out, water on the floor all over. The reception staff was very kind. The offer had dinner also included, easier to take after spa and far from city by walking. The options for buffet were good, few soups, few salads, cheese board, few sauces, few meats, side dishes and deserts. Big negative, no drink included, not even a basic plain tap water with lemon or whatever. You have to pay extra and the bar prices are quite high, maybe 25-40% higher than average ones, menu only in Hungarian. In addition to large prices, they also charge and extra 10% om restaurant service. The accommodation is anyway expensive. I reduce 2 extra stars because of lack of transparency for payment required for children. Children policy stated children are up to 18 years old, there was no extra charge mentioned in dedicated policy. Then I also wrote upfront on booking to discuss avout child. No reply, at checkout they ask for 60 euros for the child when the entire package was 133 euros - in the end we agreed for less which was fair, but very bad management of children policy and communication on booking.

Worst experience! Staff is rude (from kitchen staff who told my friend "isn't buffer food good enough for you" when he asked for the burger) to the receptionist who wanted to charge everyone for late checkout when we gave our keys on time except one couple who kept their room. No slippers for a spa hotel. No kitchen utensils (plates, pans, etc). No coffee available after 10:30. No reception area to sit if you have couple of hours to kill. Horrible experience - do not stay here.
