Allurity Hotel

First of all the location is great and staff were friendly. The rooms are extremely basic and dated but were clean. Unless you book a room with a kitchen you wont have much. We got 'upgraded' but I'm not sure what too as the room was still small with no view. It's fine for a short stay. Parking costs extra.

Good location and friendly staff. Joshua was helpful and responded quickly to my questions by phone and email. Late check in was well organised and this is great. There is a Sunday market right in front of the hotel. A great chance to pick up some souvenirs before heading home — local wine, berries, and more. They offered me an extended stay, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, I had to return to work and could not accept it, but it was still appreciated.

Well, where do we start. At no point, until check in were we told that parking was $29 a night, whilst booking.com says the hotel had parking - is that our bad for assuming that it was free? The receptionist told us "no one includes parking" when we questioned it. So that makes for one dear hotel. Then we get told we have been upgraded, we think this compensates for the parking a little, until we get to our floor. The lift opens to a large noise. We walk around the corner and see at least 6 industrial air blowers!!! All of the flooring had been ripped up exposing glue which you had to walk across to enter your room. No idea what our upgrade was as it was still a normal room with the added bonus of listening to the blowers going 24/7. Keep your upgrade we say. Only advantage to this hotel is it location and the New Sydney Hotel across the road. Will never stay there again!!
