Alma di Alghero Hotel

The hotel is ideally located by the beach, although from your balcony, you’re not directly facing the sea due to a building across from it. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with simple but sufficient furniture for a comfortable stay. A highlight of the hotel is the rooftop pool, which offers a nice view, as well as the breakfast served on the 4th floor. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. There's also a game room for both kids and adults, as well as a gym. One downside, however, is the parking, which is available on-site but costs €5/day, which seems a bit pricey. As for the location, it’s perfect for a beach walk or a quick trip into the city center, and 30 minutes drive from Sassari. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for family stays, due to its great facilities and ideal location.

The hotel is actually behind a not so nice looking apartment block, so we had to drive up a shared driveway, but the entrance of the hotel after that is very good. Staff are very helpful. The rooms have very spacious balconies. The internet was useless, near impossible to fine network name, and when you did, the connection was woeful. Does have a great pool area, but the area needs some shade cloth areas so you can retreat from the glaring sun.

We stayed in room 401 on the 4th floor. The room was very spacious, the shower was nice, and we had a large balcony with a view of the sea. The bed was very firm but comfortable. We did have two twin beds which is okay as we knew it was a possibility. The pillows are also a very firm memory foam. One important thing to know is that breakfast service is also on this floor from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. and if you are a light sleeper you will hear dishes clinking, doors slamming, and people talking. Thankfully I had my white noise machine so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. The majority of the employees at the breakfast service as well as the employees at the front desk were polite. The breakfast has oatmeal, pancakes, bacon, omelets, fruits, coffee, and more. We really enjoyed it! The location of the hotel was wonderful. Roughly a 25 minute walk to the city center, 2 minute walk to the beach across the street, and 15-20 to maria pia beach which we absolutely loved! Alghero holds a special place in our hearts now! Lastly, Regelato in the city center is the BEST gelato I have ever had, the salted caramel specifically.
