Hotel Review: Almanity Hoi An Wellness Resort I had a truly wonderful stay at Almanity Hoi An. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful, with a perfect blend of nature and modern comfort. The rooms were clean and spacious, the daily spa treatments were such a treat, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide range of delicious options. What truly made my stay unforgettable, though, was the staff — especially Ngoc, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was always smiling, incredibly kind, and made me feel so welcome from the moment I arrived. Her warm and professional service truly elevated the experience. If you’re visiting Hoi An and looking for a relaxing, wellness-focused stay with outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Almanity. I would absolutely love to return someday!
Incredible place to stay in Hoi An. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, my loft room was spacious and had everything you needed and more. The resort itself was stunning and so well kept. They have their own water purifying facility and the food is of the highest standard. Breakfast presents so many options to cater to all palettes and dietary needs. The gym is spacious and has substantial equipment on offer. They also have a private beach and offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from - I didn’t get to scope this but hopefully next time! They also offer complimentary activities throughout the day like tai chai, Vietnamese lessons, etc. Location wise, it’s perfect - around 10 min walk into Hoi An Ancient Town and away from the hustle and bustle. I would definitely stay again, unforgettable!
I chose this hotel/resort from my credit card travel website due to it being a 5 star hotel. The information regarding this hotel looked great but once I arrived, I found it to be an over glorified 4 star hotel. The “BAD” The first thing I noticed upon arrival was a framed “rules” plaque which included rather stringent rules. One rule being that no “outside food or drinks” were allowed in the room or property. I have NEVER heard of such. Another rule which frustrated me was there was only 1 allocated spot to smoke. It was located in the parking lot, by the guard shack in the front of the property. It was a located on the asphalt, in the parking lot with nowhere to sit and without shade. For being such a large property and for those whose room was on the opposite side of the property, it was nearly a 5 minute walk to the smoking location. Unacceptable. The toiletries amenities were not top tier and located in the lobby. I found this no better than a 3 star hotel. The room was dated and soft slippers were not offered. Instead, they gave us flip flops that seemed to be used previously by other guests. There were no USB ports anywhere in the room. The fridge would not get much cooler than the air conditioned room and only 2 bottles of water were presented for our entire stay (2 nights). There was a sign stating they would provide another water for a 30000 dong charge. Crazy! Everywhere we stayed has offered unlimited water OR a filtered water tap that could be used for drinking or brushing teeth. Now for the “GOOD” The staff were great. The swimming pool was amazing. It was the first “cool”water in a pool in all of Southeast Asia. Very refreshing. It was maintained really well and the towels provided and the sunbathing chairs and beds were top notch. The breakfast was great. Not the best for a five star but really good. The location was also good. It was located close to many restaurants, tailors, and shops in the ancient city. I would recommend this hotel to someone looking for a 4 star hotel. If you want to stay at a five star hotel, there are many options but I will not mention them. Hope this helps when making a decision for a place to stay in Hoi An.
