Aloft Taipei Beitou

The hotel is kind of normal one. However dur to marriott chain tie up, the cost is much higher than the standard. No specific service or amenities available in the hotel. The location is super convenient and there are lots of natural sites to visit near the hotel.

Sadly, the walls and floors are paper thin so you will get a good idea of your neighbours' activities which include karaoke at 2am and worse. Called the front desk many times but there is nothing they can do other than provide earplugs. To be fair, it was a Saturday night but no sleep until 4am. Saturday's noise was from the room above, Sunday's was from next door. It's a party place for locals on weekends, move hotels if you have an early flight. Breakfast was at two to three star and packed. We have stayed at about 30 Marriott group properties over the last three years and this one was infuriating. Better off at a Moxie.

The worst hotel in entire Marriot portfolio I have ever stayed so far. Very unfriendly staff , very cold welcome as if guests are never welcomed to stay here . The woman mixologist at the WXYZ bar is extremely rude and was only interested to throw away her anger to guests.
