Aloha Seaview Resort Motel

There is a lot wrong with this place, but also a lot of good things. Some good points: ✔️ Prime location, near the Paihia seafront where all the action is ✔️ Little bit away from the strip, so less traffic ✔️ Friendly and responsive staff ✔️ Nice enclosed pool area ✔️ Warm spa ✔️ Lovely seaview from certain areas ✔️ Fairly well stocked kitchen in terms of cutlery and crockery ✔️ Well priced ✔️ Very good, free wifi ✔️ The most incredibly comfortable bed ever! Some negatives: ❌️ It's not very clean. It's clean on the surface, but it's actually very dirty ❌️ The parking is far away from the room and it was difficult for an older and bigger person like me to get everything in my room ❌️ Everything is old and dated and can do with a bit of a spruce up ❌️ The sofa bed in the living room kept collapsing and the other chair is incredibly uncomfortable ❌️ There is no Sky TV channels at all ❌️ It's never quiet. Never. People partying, then later arguing. Kids running up and down in front of your window screaming, then later crying ❌️ No additional blankets or towels ❌️ Was only provided three teeny tiny pottles of milk for 3 days ❌️ I have to mention again that it's dirty I guess if you are going to pay less, you have to make certain accommodations and lower expectations. My stay was 50/50. Not incredibly great or incredibly bad. I don't think I'll be back though. The noise, dirt, and uncomfortable furniture are deal breakers for me.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ACCOMODATION! Our whanau stayed here for one night and we were very disappointed. It is cheap for a reason but still paid money for a room that should be atleast cleaned. Mould on all the curtains and all throughout the rooms and lounge area. Bathroom was a complete mess. Backsplash all over the mirror in the bathroom from previous guests, shower was really dirty, dishes dirty, verandah was dirty and had an old towel laying on the floor from previous guest. The games room is also dirty, musky smell. Dust and mould everywhere and all rooms are very damp. Broken fans, chairs, hairs in bed.. at this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if they reuse sheets. The website photos and booking site photos are old and is no where as nice as it looks. It’s run down and nothing is clean. Won’t be staying here again, unless some serious changes are made.

Very disappointed with our stay at Aloha Seaview Resort Motel. The unit was dirty and unhygienic- musky carpets, unclean bathroom, hair on the bed, and barely any toiletries for our family of six. One light fixture was hanging dangerously, and the couch felt like it could collapse. Power kept tripping when using two hair dryers, and no help was provided. The woman on site saw us at reception but ignored us. It honestly felt like they didn’t want us using much electricity or staying up late. Only the receptionist at check-in was friendly. Definitely not a 4-star place — more like 1. We won’t be coming back.
