We loved our stay at Alpenchalets Mair. Clean, peaceful, beautiful.

When I rocked up at the Mair family's Alpenchalet, it felt like I'd managed to leave civilisation miles behind. It was peak holiday season, but up there, time seemed to have hit pause – or maybe popped out for a cuppa. The chalet, with its minimalist design all in wood and stone, gave off major "remote mountain hut on a 3000-metre peak" vibes. How do I know what that feels like? Honestly, no clue – I'm not exactly a mountain hut kind of person! But the vibe was spot on. At the same time, the place had this cosy, elegant feel, with the scent of fresh wood and everything spotless. My dog instantly made himself at home, practically became the official farm dog. I spent ages just sitting on the bench outside the chalet, my dog on my lap, watching the mountains put on their ever-changing show. The goats were grazing all around us, and I couldn't help but start naming them on the spot. Right there, I got loads of work done on my laptop, thanks to the cracking Wi-Fi, before heading off on one of the many mountain bike trails in the area. When I got back, the hot tub reminded me that I wasn’t just soaking in rustic mountain charm – I was living the luxury life too. Thank you so much Mair family.

They are 5 chalets located in perfect location to discover the north of Italy. Around 7 min driving to San Candido and 30 min to the lake of Braies. I stayed 4 nights in the chalet No. D The chalet is sparkling clean and cozy with everything you need for family stay. There are 1 bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The seating area is spacious with comfortable chairs and stunning panoramic views on the mountains. There is a washing machine in the main building. The host Ms. Andria was very kind and smiling all the time. She made us feel like if we were in our own home. She was very kind with my daughters and smiling from her heart. She is always available on WhatsApp. It was really amazing experience and definitely I'd come again. Negatives: Absolutely nothing. However kids playground would be a nice thing to have. Portable fireplace or grill is also important. They mentioned that's available only during summer.
