Beautiful hotel and very warm hospitality. Lovely view of the alps from the rooms and the restaurant Christina at the restaurant was especially caring towards my family.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel....during my last trip and I must say that I was extremely satisfied. From the moment of check-in, the staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience very welcoming straight away. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean and well furnished. The breakfast included in the stay was truly delicious, with a wide choice of fresh and tasty foods. Additionally, the hotel had great amenities such as a sauna. located a few steps from the bus stop direct to the Königsee. I can only highly recommend the Hotel ... to anyone who wishes to have a pleasant and comfortable stay in this city.
Stayed for 3 nights (was supposed to be 4 but a delayed flight messed that up). The people at the front desk were very accommodating. They let me check in the following morning, rather than forcing me to wait until the 3pm check in time. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially the guy working the front desk (the name has escaped me). The breakfast is the typical Bavaria breakfast buffet, though the bread was always fresh and delicious. Only ate at the restaurant once, since I wanted to check out other restaurants while in the area. The food was good, though just not something I particularly liked, but that happens sometimes when you decide to try something new that you typically wouldn’t eat. The drive up can be a little stressful if you are not used to narrow streets. If you are fit enough, most things in what seems to be the more scenic part of town are within easy enough walking distance. The only real downside I had was the temperature of the room. Like most older or traditional style European hotels, there wasn’t any air conditioning. I knew that going in and just figured I’d keep the windows open. Unfortunately, I was in a room on the ground floor facing the back of the hotel, so very little air flow was present. Otherwise, the room fit my needs perfectly, since I spent most of the time out and about.
