Recommend to book directly! We booked our ‘chalet’ through Belvilla, but the description and pictures where not about one and the same. First we checked in at apartment 9A, which is a beautiful apartment (luxury furnished) for max 4 adults and 4 kids. I went back to the reception to discuss our booking, since we booked a chalet with sauna and 4 bedrooms for adults. I had a nice and open conversation with two ladies from the reception. She explained me about some misunderstandings in combination with Belvilla and the issue of our booking. After a good talk they arranged a switch to chalet 6B (compared to our booking description). We really appreciated the offer to switch and the chalet was everything we wished for (A BIG THANKS TO THE LADIES)! The chalet was 3 floors with bedrooms on every floor. All the bedrooms had on suite bathrooms and there was a sauna room with a shower. Beds and showers were amazing, big complements for that! The rooms also had a balcony with nice view. The kitchen was full optioned with a filter coffee machine and a cup version. Plenty of plates, glasses etc to find in the cabinets. Be aware of the fact that there is almost no shop in this area. On our way to the resort we stopped at ‘BILLA’ (40 minutes away) to buy groceries as breakfast and beers. MAKE SURE TO BRING SNOW CHAINS IN WINTER! Our chalet was stationed close to the slope to (kind of) ski in ski out (5 minute walk down maximum?). Be aware of a fairly steep road to the chalet which is poorly accessible without snow chains. Several cars slid as they drifted upward! We had issues getting up with our snow chains on, but the reception sent us two nice men to help us out! The night before we left we drove the car down because of the weather forecast. The reception was kind enough to offer us a parking spot in front of the reception for the night. We want to thank the resort for the great service. I would highly recommend to book directly with them and ask the reception if you have any questions.
I have very mixed feelings about our vacation. We rented two chalets: one in the “old part” for 2 weeks and another in the “new part” for 1 week. I’ll start with the negatives: 1. Would you like having a vacation on a construction site? You are LITERALLY LIVING IN THE MIDDLE of construction, which starts at 7 AM and ends at 5 PM. Loud, very loud noises, dirt, and construction debris. 2. The house shakes. It’s hard to believe, but when you walk in the house, it literally shakes. 3. Low quality of furniture, home appliances, and design: though the house looks new, we already had a broken chair, broken armrest, broken shaker, malfunctioning jacuzzi, and broken controller in the sauna. 4. The smell of sewage from the toilet, blockages in the drains, and a broken dishwasher. 5. Terrible internet: in one chalet, the connection was breaking every 10 minutes and would be out for 10-20 minutes. UPD: Internet fixed after 5 days. 6. Terrible sound isolation; it actually doesn’t exist: you can hear people walking, talking, and cooking in other rooms. 7. The “new” chalet is on a road that doesn’t exist on Google Maps. It is IMPOSSIBLE to find without guidance from the reception. I spent more than an hour trying to locate it with the provided map (which looks like a kid’s pirate treasure map) and failed. I had to ask the receptionist to meet me and show it. I do not understand why they cannot simply send GPS coordinates. 8. The description of the house mentioned 4 bathrooms, but in fact, there are 4 toilets and three bathrooms, one of which is in the common usage. Therefore, on the ground floor, you have three rooms (with 9 beds) with one shared bathroom and one toilet for all. Positives: 9. Beautiful views from the chalet. 10. Great balcony. 11. Spacious lounge and nice design. 12. Nice staff (though they couldn’t solve problems). Summary: The houses looks cool in pictures and on Instagram, but in reality, the quality is really poor. Plus, LIVING ON A CONSTRUCTION SITE IS TERRIBLE and dangerous for kids. 2 stars instead of 1 because of the nice staff, who were sympathetic but simply couldn’t help.
The location is great but that was only positive thing. The boot heater did not work, neither the dish washer. The rooms are extremly small. We could not ask for a mop… there was some clogging problem also, had not been solved. Such a big disappointment!
