Alpenresort Belvedere

If you’re a family looking for a hotel in Molveno, let this photo of a rock on a table be your guide. We stayed at the hotel for five days with our two year old daughters. Kids club: fantastic. Karen & Elizabetta were wonderful. Location: a stunning view. Short walk to the beach and cable cars. Lovely proximity to the main village street. Very easy to access nature. Rooms: so so so spacious. Perfectly set up for small people. Service: we just felt at no point that our raucous toddlers were a problem. Everyone was friendly, helpful, kind. This silly rock, my daughter had found the day before. Brought it to dinner with her. She obviously forgot it.. and there it was, presented for her at breakfast the next morning. She was so so so happy to see it. Silly I know, but it’s the little things. Meals: meals for toddlers delivered first (life savers), a new menu option every day. Toddler sized pasta. Healthy nuggies. It made meal times a breeze. Spa: the limited time we did get to spend at the outdoor pool and spa was fabulous. While I focus on the review for our family, I’d go back with my husband again as a couple. We loved this space so much and can’t rate it highly enough.

If you are planning on visiting molveno already then you have a lot of options for hotels. I can't speak for others, but I don't think you'll find a more luxurious yet affordable resort. Huge modern rooms (pay for the lake view room, it's worth it). Our booking included parking and they let us keep our car there 2 hours after checkout. The spa is so delightful but don't forget that it's a nude spa meaning you can wear a towel when you go in the saunas and steam rooms but you have to be naked underneath that towel. Pretty normal for Europeans but if you're from America that's always something new. The spa closes at 7:30pm and opens at 5:30pm (at least on Friday). It even has a gym that opens at 9am, no dumbbells but a lat pull down, chest press, ab crunch, and cardio equipment. They have bikes you can rent as well as book things through them. I cannot speak highly enough of molveno as a town. If the garden of Eden was a place it would be this town and this hotel.

The hotel was very nice in a beautiful location with fantastic views. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had two suites which were spacious and very comfortable. We aren't fans of the layout of the suites but we were very comfortable. A lovely fruit basket with a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us upon arrival. There is ample closet space and nice water pressure from the rain shower. It was peaceful and quiet. If you like to walk, hike, mountain bike or ski, or swim in the lake (weather permitting) it's a great place. Our only negative comment was that we were disappointed with the dinners. Most dishes lacked true flavor and the risotto one night was completely undercooked.
