Alpina Phuket Nalina Resort & Spa

Very nice and peaceful place to stay in and around Kata Beach. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the pool and the mountain where the Big Buddha is located. KT, the Manager of the hotel generously upgraded our room to Grand Suite because our room had problems with air-conditioning. The staff are great and know the true value of customer service. The daily breakfast buffet was exceptional. We hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

A little tired around the edges but amazing value for the price. We paid 32 USD/night during the low season (not including breakfast). The pool is amazing. The fitness center seems put together almost as an after thought, though. Close enough to the beach to walk, but far enough away to avoid the noise and crowds. Decent service and clean rooms. Not much of a desk in the classic room.

It's ok. I expected more for the price. But a decent budget resort. Needs upgrades definitely. Our whirlpool tub looks like it was not installed 100% correctly. There is slight mold spots in the room from humidity and condensation. The view Is beautiful from balcony, but very small resort with no entertainment or activities. You are paying for the room and view of the pool/palm trees/ forest. Quality of shampoos are not great either so we have purchased our own. Furniture is scratched and worn out, bed lamps dont work. The pool is nice, has a smaller pool for lounging if needed. The larger pool though is pretty deep. Breakfast is just ok, nothing special. It is buffet. Their customer service is great though, and we have enjoyed our couple of days here so far. Unfortunately, we just expected a bit more for the price.
