Altana Heritage Suites

10/10. If you’re looking for a very cool place to stay that is not in Oia, this is it. In fact, for us, this was perfect. It wasn’t noisy. The hotel itself is built into the cliff like most hotels in Santorini. Your breakfast is served on your private terrace. The breakfast is amazing and includes everything you could possibly want. When you check in you check off the items on the menu you want for breakfast including what time you want it delivered and they are spot on delivering breakfast to your terrace right on time. If you want more of something, they will bring it to you. The view is simply spectacular. Our room was beautiful and huge and included a small kitchen, massive shower And sitting area. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and will provide tips on where to go and what to see on the island. For some reason, the cruise ships in the bay enjoy pulling their horns at 6 AM. That’s about the only noise you’ll hear. The bed was not great. We had a car and there is a car park close by, and if that car park is full, there’s another one close by as well. A Fantastic place to stay!

This has to be the best accommodations and service my husband and I have ever experienced and we've been to about 15 countries so far, and counting. The owners Mario and Christos, plus Michael (whom we interacted with the most) went above and beyond as we needed to make a last minute adjustment to our stay and their solution was creatively accommodating. We ended up staying one night in the Honeymoon Suite with Outdoor Plunge Pool (Heritage Suites) and three nights in the Superior Cave Villa with Outdoor Plunge Pool (Cliffside Villas). Both were amazing in different ways: the Honeymoon Suite had the absolute most spectacular view imaginable while the Superior Cave had a lovely view with exceptional room-space as it had two bedrooms, two baths, living area, and kitchen. Michael assisted us with securing dinner reservation, a rental car, and our departure transfer, plus his suggestions of places to visit and eat were honest and greatly appreciated. Lastly, the daily breakfast delivered to our room each morning was a wonderful start to each day. We can't recommend Altana enough!

Where do I begin?! This is a hidden gem in Santorini! The location is perfect if you’re looking for a phenomenal view of the caldera. Way better view than what the other hotels in Oija would offer. All the view points from the hotel is amazing, but the best is of course where the pool is located at! It believe it’s the highest point and your get a 360 degree view! Best spot for sunrise and sunset with a bottle of wine. If you’re into taking great photos, right outside the main entrance is the famous blue domed cathedrals were everyone lines up to take those long dress photos… if you stay here just wake up at 0600 and beat all the photographers out and get your awesome shots with enough time without being rushed. The staff here is amazing and you get TOP NOTCH service! The rooms are amazing and they all come with personal and private Jacuzzi! The breakfast is on point as well so don’t forget that! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again and no where else when we return to Santorini. This is how much we enjoyed our stay here!
