Althaia

Absolutely loved our stay at Althaia Hotel! The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with high-quality bedding. The views from the balconies are simply breathtaking. The location is ideal, just a short 30m walk down a slope from the main street filled with charming cafes and taverns. The surrounding area is stunning, offering plenty of opportunities for short or long walks and treks, with numerous birds and forests full of wildflowers. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel!

Very nice, clean, traditional lodging. Spacious and comfortable. The view is amazing and it's a perfect place to relax because of the quietness. The hosts were friendly and kind and they provided us with all the necessary information regarding the surrounding area and all the activities available there. The village of Ano Chora is quite secluded, so make sure to bring food supplies and other provisions with you, since the local mini Market is outrageously expensive and has a limited amount of products. The lodging provides a fully equipped kitchen so you can store your supplies and cook as well.

Although a bit difficult to find, especially if you arrive in the evening, once you are there, the place is very rewarding. It is amazingly located, close to the main street of the village and the central square, at a wonderful spot with a superb view on the mountains. The rooms have balconies, they are spacious, warm and beautifully furnished. The hosts kind, hospitable and helpful. Everything is quiet, you can sleep really well and relax. Minor remarks, the water for the shower takes a huge lot of time to heat and it does not remain hot for too long. Maybe something could be done for that. The service also could be a bit ameliorated. Nevertheless, the overall impression is excellent. Thank you very very much for your hospitality, we recommend Althaia strongly and we'll be back soon again !
